Frequently Asked Questions

  • Where are you based?

Philadelphia & The Mainline (Pennsylvania) but I work with clients nationally! For those who are local, we can coordinate flower drop-offs.

  • I don’t live in the greater Philadelphia area, can you still preserve my flowers?

Of course! You will just need to mail your flowers and I will send you shipping instructions. Just know that I need your flowers within 24-48 hours following your special event so they need to be sent overnight mail by FedEx or UPS (it can cost hundreds of dollars).

  • When should I book?

We have limited capacity so book your date ASAP! We suggest booking at least 2 months in advance. Bookings made within 2 weeks of your occasion will be subject to a rush fee.

  • How long does this whole process take?

We put a lot of love into creating your special piece. It is a time & labor intensive process. The exact timing will depend on the time of the year/volumes. We say to allow 16 weeks at a minimum. On average orders take 4-6 months.

  • What happens if my flowers get damaged or delayed during shipping?

Unfortunately, this is out of our control. But rest assured, if something occurs, we can always talk about a work around of having your bouquet recreated with your florist or I can connect you to a local florist to avoid shipping again.

  • How soon following an event do flowers need to be dropped off or mailed?

The sooner the better. It is highly recommended to drop off your flowers within 1 day of your event, or 2 if needed. If you are shipping your flowers, they must be sent overnight mail by FedEx or UPS within 24-48 hours of your event. Flowers need to be alive and thriving for best results.

  • Can we use pre-dried flowers?

Certainly! If you dried your flowers, we are happy to work with what you provide. You still need to go through the same booking process, but when you send your flowers the instructions will be different.

  • Do you have a minimum order size?

Yes, the minimum order is $300 (the same as the initial, non-refundable retainer amount).

  • How long will my resin block last?

It will be yours to enjoy for a long time! We would like for you to know that all resins will discolor over time. That being said, we use a high quality epoxy resin that provides as much “yellowing” protection as possible. We highly suggest keeping items away from direct sunlight and heat. Handle pieces with care as they can be scratched and damaged.

  • Do you use all of the flowers that I send?

Maybe! It depends on the size and number of items you purchase. We will use the best flowers in the pieces (not all flowers dry well), so the more to pick from the better. There could potentially be leftover flowers, but we do not send them back to you since they could be crushed by your heavy pieces.

  • Do flowers change when they are dried or in resin?

Yes, they certainly may change color during the drying or resin process. Each flower is different. To give you a sense: red flowers dry darker, white flowers may look ivory or brownish, pinks turn dark (maybe even more purple), light blue & purple dry darker, yellow can be darker or more muted, and lilies & orchids get very thin. Some flowers, especially white roses, in resin also turn translucent due to bruising (that you may not be able to see with your eyes). Perfectly imperfect is beautiful.

  • Can you preserve succulents?

No. Since succulents are full of moisture they will shrivel up if dried and are not attractive for your piece. We can always take a succulent out of your bouquet and preserve the remaining flowers that work well in resin (for example, berries are also not typically good candidates).

  • Can I put my flowers in the freezer to help preserve them?

No. We cannot work with flowers that have been in the freezer.

  • What are tips to care for my flowers during or after my event?

Keep them hydrated and avoid touching. This is a big one for weddings! Make sure you assign someone to be in charge of your flowers. They can easily place them in a vase of water during the event. Following the event, keep them in water. Also, try not to touch the flowers too much to avoid bruising. I would certainly suggest not doing a bouquet toss.

  • Do you accept returns?

Due to the custom nature of the pieces, all sales are final and no refunds will be provided.

The $300 retainer is not refundable under any circumstances.

  • Can I add or upgrade my order after it has been placed?

Certainly! In fact, this happens often. You can contact us directly to change your order. Sometimes, we will suggest alternative sizes or products after seeing your flowers.

  • I didn’t know about your company until after my event, how do I replicate my special flowers?

Don’t fret! You have two options: 1. Reach out to your florist to recreate your bouquet and then ship us the flowers. 2. I can put you in touch with our local florist to recreate your bouquet/flowers so you avoid the shipping fee.

  • Should I only send/drop off my bouquet or include additional flowers?

If you are getting multiple pieces, the more flowers the better. For wedding flowers, you can grab a bridesmaid’s bouquet or flowers from your centerpieces if needed. Just be sure to tell the person who is in charge of your grabbing your flowers after your wedding to make sure they are all kept hydrated and safe!

  • My date is not available, now what?

You can reach out to us and for a “rush” fee we may be able to shuffle things around to accommodate your order. Otherwise, the alternative would be to dry your flowers yourself immediately following your event and then book a date with us about 3 weeks later.

  • Why is preserving my flowers an investment?

Please keep in mind that you are paying an artist to make your keepsake item and it is a labor intensive process from start to finish. There are also many costs associated with each piece that are quite pricey (silica gel, molds, resin and much more). All items are made with lots of love and we hope that each time you look at them, you are reminded of your fond memories.
